Joshua Springs Bible College was established as an outreach of Joshua Springs Calvary Chapel (previously, Living Stream Christian Fellowship). Pastor Jerel & Pastor Bob saw a need to start a Bible college in the desert area. With the support of the church community, the first classes, under Pastor Bob's leadership, were held in 1993. The small beginnings have grown over the years to include Associate and Bachelor degrees in Theology and Biblical Studies, with specialized classes in Missions, Biblical Counseling, and Worship.
A internship program was added in 1995 whereby students could earn their room, board, and tuition by working at the retreat center, church, and school. Dorms were added adjacent to the school property in 1997 to provide housing for students after the retreat center was sold. Additionally, a fully equipped café, as well as the Joshua Springs Thrift Store; have been added to provide additional opportunities for students to serve in the ministry.
